Posters

The poster is the poster that i have created for myself and the group. The picture i have chosen i took from my digi pack, i like this image as they both include the signature look of our band which is the scarfs. I have also included the main details you need on the poster which is promoting our album such as our band name, album name, album release date, album cover, record label and other logos such as itunes, Facebook etc because that shows it is to download or where you can find us.

Feedback - First Screening

The video will be uploaded soon of our first screening which was shown to the class and teachers. Here are the feedback sheets given back, taken from it we have positives and negatives.

Positives...

- Our performance in the music video was good and the image of the band
- Pace of editing was great
- Camera movement was good
- The effects and colour of the music video was nice
- Cinematography worked successfully
- The documentary shots in the video worked and looked really good
- Car shots looked good

Negatives...

- Lip syncing in the video could be adjusted a bit better
- There are gaps in the video that run within the video
- A couple of shots were too long and need to be cut down
- To tidy up the cuts that need to be done

Typography

Here are text ideas that we got from Dafont, in the group we have discussed what typography we would like to use for our digi packs and posters and decided the second and third. They are both the same text just shown how it would look like as our band name and the name of the album, the group wanted a text that wasn't too harsh but was elegant and still had an edge to it so people would recognise us through the typography also. 

Digi Pack.

The process of creating my digi pack was time consuming but i have the finished product. I started with doing sketches for it, so i had a couple of ideas i could work with, we had a photo shoot at Danson Park if you look at a previous post on my blog you will see some of the photos we took as well as experimenting with them with colour and effects.

As you can see my digi pack is set outside as these are pictures taken from the photo shoot we done, I have edited a couple of the pictures mainly the front cover as that will be the first image everyone will see. I included two pictures of the scarfs as this is our trade mark, and are wearing them in each image. Having the images set outside i think is a nice setting, and the picture on the bottom left could come across as we are walking into our future. I am pleased with the finished product of my digi pack, even though it took me sometime as i am not great on photoshop.

Wednesday 13th February 2013

Today our media teacher looked at what we got and said we can improve and need a narrative to our music video. So we discussed ideas to what can be achievable to do in the half term, which will be the group recording more shots based on the narrative. The idea will be us writing the song and us chilling out, so it leads up to the performance. We are still going to keep the footage we've got, we just need that little bit more to make our music video look more realistic.

As this is the last lessons before we break up for half term, the things to do in that week is to shoot more shots based on what i spoke about in the above. A shooting day is still to be finalized due to finding a day that everyone is free.

These are screen shots of the editing process in movie maker. This was the performance shot and the first thing we started editing, we have done the first chorus which personally i think looks good.

 

Myself, Megan, Charlotte and Tolga have added location shots and it is slowly getting there, but still up for improvement also to be ready for the first screening which will be the first day back from half term. As a group we are hoping to atleast have all the shots we need for the screening.

 

For Wednesday 13th Februarys lesson we will continue to edit and finishing off our digi packs,  due to not being able to use movie maker in the half term for our music video and myself not having the software for my digi pack.

DIGI PACK PHOTOS.

These are a variety of different photos taken from the photo shoot at Danson Park. As you will see there are individual and group pictures, we also try incorporating the scarfs as they are our signature look. A positive to taking so many photos is we have many to work with and also play around on photoshop with effects and colour.
